It's Time to Fix Our Democracy

When corporations and the ultra-wealthy set the political agenda, our communities and planet lose out.

Because of the influence of the fossil fuel lobby, our government doles out billions of dollars in subsidies to Big Oil and Gas while and stalls a transition to clean, renewable, energy.

By reigning in the corrupting influence of money in politics and protecting the right to vote, we can make our democracy accountable to the will of the people.

This April young people helped organize Democracy Spring—the largest act of American civil disobedience this century. Demanding immediate action to end the status quo of big money corruption and voting rights suppression, we announced the arrival of a movement committed to winning real democracy in the United States.

Using direct action and forcing politicians to take a side, youth climate activists are revealing the urgency of the democracy crisis and paving the way to solutions.
