Today Abercrombie & Fitch publically announced its quarterly earnings -- but it failed to mention the scandal hidden behind its recent profits.
Currently, the clothing company stocks almost 300 items that use fabrics made from trees -- like rayon, viscose, or modal. These fabrics are driving rainforest destruction in Indonesia, global climate change, and threatening the livelihoods of Indigenous and frontline communities.
Abercrombie may have made money last quarter, but it did so while ignoring the rights of communities, and by putting rainforests at risk. This isn’t acceptable.
