How can community practitioners and campus organizers support each other’s work in the fights for for climate justice and democratic control of our energy system?

Concerned that utilities were wagering long-term security solely on a potentially short term boom in natural gas production, a team of Power Shift Network members and allies are organizing a strategic summit on energy democracy and natural gas resistance on September 29-October 1 in Detroit, Michigan.

This summit will bring together grassroots organizers from across the nation to map the current state of local utility fights and energy democracy campaigns. It will be a space to identify strategies for fighting the boom in natural gas infrastructure and extraction, as well as ways to strengthen solutions for community-controlled clean energy.

Participants will leave with deeper personal connections to support stronger strategies.

How can you plug in?
