After almost a year on staff I finally got to meet some coworkers for the first time in person, and forgot how essential it is to help remind oneself why we're in this movement.

Dreaming and scheming together has been done virtually for so long (our Network Member Organizations are great at that), but there's nothing like building that community in person. Keep reading to check up on what our Network Members are up to, what's happening in the movement, and more.

Uplift: Digital Convergence - Rooted Communities, Stronger Together

>> Rooted Communities, Stronger Together will be a weekend of workshops around mutual aid, community knowledge, abolition, and environmental justice in the greater Southwest planned by young people from the Southwest. Uplift will have crash courses in topics such as direct action and radical info sharing, workshops on eco-anxiety, and more! You can register for the free convergence here. 

Our Climate Voices: Remedy - Climate, Ritual, & Roots A Virtual Artist Residency

>> Beginning this Black August, Our Climate Voices is excited to invite youth to gather for a virtual journey alchemizing climate grief through eco-social art practice in partnership with Lead 2 Life. Over the course of seven months (from August 2021 - Jan 2022), a constellation of 12 youth artists, aged 15-18 years old, will engage in an interdisciplinary art practice inspiring transformation, co-learning, curiosity, and creation. >> PSN's Executive Director, Dany Sigwalt, is nominated for the Pritzker Emerging Environmentalism Genius Award! Dany is one of 18 young environmental leaders representing multifaceted approaches that combine to form comprehensive responses to major environmental issues facing our planet. Dany is also nominated for The Atlantic Fellows for Racial Equity Award highlighting 20 outstanding change makers who are tackling anti-Black racism and building expansive new futures in which Black people, and people of color, are seen, valued and respected.

>> Voting restrictions in Arizona and Montana will make it more difficult for Indigenous people living on reservations to vote, many of them relying on organizers to collect and deliver their ballots.
