Action for the Climate Emergency (ACE): Now or Never Campaign
>> ACE is planning to tell our leaders #NowOrNever because climate science and the experiences of those on the frontlines of climate impacts make it undeniably clear that we have no more time to waste and we must enact an emergency response to the climate crisis right now! They are hosting actions and events for the next couple of months leading up to COP26, including a Virtual Lobby Week. If you're interested in becoming a campaign partner and/or participating in the actions, find more info here. |

Indigenous Environmental Network & Oil Change International: Carbon Report
>> Grist featured a recent report by Indigenous Environmental Network and Oil Change International which found that Indigenous-led resistance to 21 fossil fuel projects in the U.S. and Canada over the past decade has stopped or delayed an amount of greenhouse gas pollution equivalent to at least one-quarter of annual U.S. and Canadian emissions. Read more about it here. |

Rainforest Action Network: Say NO to Conflict Palm Oil
>> Procter & Gamble's palm oil suppliers cause mass deforestation and human rights abuses - stealing the land from right under Indigenous communities to burn and clear away the forests for palm oil plantations. And all for some bars of soap. Luckily, we have the power to stop the destruction of rainforests and lives. Visit Rainforest Action Network's petition to tell P&G to stop sourcing Conflict Palm Oil and #KeepForestsStanding. |

Mutual Aid Support |
>> Network Member, Generation Green, is quickly mobilizing themselves and some materials to support Haitian asylum seekers in Houston with Houston Haitians United. Their goal is to raise $10K to connect Haitian people to their family in the states, volunteers' transportation costs, and meals. You can donate here or through other methods including CashApp: $GenerationGreen and Venmo:Generation-Green. If you can't donate, they are also seeking volunteers as a barber/hairstylist, cook, floater, COVID test administrator, or translator (Creole & Spanish).
>> >> Recovery efforts in Southeast Louisiana are ongoing. Folks down the bayou and in the river parishes are still in dire need. Bvlbancha Collective has been providing mutual aid and support for folks on the ground in Bvlbancha (New Orleans) with herbal medicine distro as well as a free market distro hub at the United Houma Nation tribal center in Houma. Bvlbancha Collective is building an herbal and first aid clinic in Thibodaux at the Yakani Ekelanna farm, and needs help with funds for first aid gear and clinic supplies. You can donate here, or reach out on Instagram and Twitter.

>> We are launching a fundraising school— currently prioritizing for current PSN Member Organizations— to work with fundraisers and activists from across the country to develop a curriculum assembled specifically for young activists ages 16-25 who are working to build up resources to support the critical work that youth climate activists are doing across the country to protect our communities and mitigate climate catastrophes. Curriculum will include online fundraising, communicating your worth, and more. Participation is limited to 15 spots, and costs will be on a sliding scale. Priority deadline is October 17! For those who aren't Network Members, take this as an incentive to apply to become a PSN Member Org. :)
>> More fundraising support opportunities: our staff has put in a ton of work to build connections with funders, and we want to share those relationships— currently open to current PSN Member Orgs. Check out the one pager we circulated that explains the process to facilitate these intros. |
